The Bucharest Accessible Underground stations
Since Romania adhered to European Union in 2007, major changes were made in the domain of accessibility. Metrorex, the local Bucharest metro supplier developed the infrastructure for accessible access on the underground stations, following the close futures as all train stations to have lifts and ramps.
As you can see in the Official Map below, most of the tube stations already have lifts or means of accessibility for wheelchair travelers.
The main stations where are the main touristic attractions (Piata Unirii, Universitate, Piata Romana, Izvor ) are already wheelchair friendly. Thus, our tourists can enjoy more their Bucharest city break and Romanian Holiday.
